Am I going natural?

photo 2Let me tell you about this wash process I had yesterday with 7 months of new growth on my head. I was so tired by the end of it; I had to take a nap! LOL! I respect everyone’s hair journey to natural hair but this 4b-4c texture is a whole other alien to deal with when coming from bone straight relaxed hair to tight curls.  I initially stopped relaxing my hair because my edges were on their death bed and something HAD to be done to resuscitate them. So I decided to not relax and wear my u-part wigs until they were long and healthy again. Well 7 months later I feel like I might as well just keep going all the way over to the land of naturals. I will post more about my journey and I thank you all in advance for the encouragement because I’m going to need it! HAPPY HUMP DAY!

  1. Girl I understand. My hair is the same texture and this is my second time becoming natural. It’s def a love hate relationship but once you get your products and a regime down it gets easier. It helps me to part my hair down the middle while washing and conditioning. Then I blow dry it in quarters. This makes my detangling process so much easier. Keep it going and growing!

  2. Same here, I’m on my second try being natural and I agree that it is a love/hate relationship. But honestly, I love it!!!! It’s versatile and you get the best of both worlds. As for dealing with the two textures, I couldn’t do it, so I did the big chop. But I think you have a great regimen going on for you and your hair looks great with a beautiful curl pattern. How exciting. Keep up the good work and enjoy your happy and healthy hair journey!

    • Thank you so much for all the support you have shown me! It really means more than you know! 😊😊😊 I’m still going strong with the transition but I’ve been itching to big chop! I’m a little over the two textures at this point lol!
