Mental Health

Back in 2006 I became clinically depressed. With the help of a kind woman I worked for. I was able to get the help that I needed to be mentally healthy again. I will forever be in her debt and grateful for that small piece of kindness she showed me that changed my life.

You can view my story here:

I am committed to bringing awareness to mental health and stamping out the stigma that’s attached to it. I know this sounds cliché but if I can help just one person, then I have made a difference.

  1. Wow!!!! Tears….. Thank you for sharing your story.

  2. Girl you brought me to tears sharing this story. I am glad you shared it and I am so happy that you got the help you needed and are doing better. I’m sure this story helped somebody! You are definitely (my friend in my head). I know you have so much for to offer people. Loving the blog and I wish you continued success! Instagram(mrsprovo27) Just like you received that blessing I’m sure you are blessing someone in this moment.

  3. I saw this a while ago when I became a subscriber but I wasn’t ready to watch it. A friend and former pastor of mine posted a lot of info about dealing with depression and suicide. This was due to the pastor in Macon, GA committing suicide. It really made me think and want to get more education about this. Pastors committing suicide!! Wow now that really hit me. And you are right about black folks, I think we think seeing a therapist is not for us or only for the rich. Thank you for sharing your story. I pray He uses you even more to combat this stereotype and to help others.
